King of the Hammers has Returned
KOH is a sight to behold, hundreds of thousands of people attend the week long event! Chalked full of races and events throughout the week, Hammers is one of the biggest offroad events in the country! Every offroad racing class you can think of has a race during the week! From dirtbikes and UTV's to trophy trucks and baja bugs everyone is out for some of the hardest racing in the world.
With the sheer amount of spectators, safety is a huge concern for all who are attending. Always wear your protective gear even in your SxS. California Law states anything under 1000cc requires all passengers to wear a helmet which means all those Can-Am and RZR Turbo cars have to have helmets! Don't let that stop you from having the best time possible. From trails to rock gardens to dunes, the area and opportunity of riding is endless! Hit up the flats for some high speed fun or head to Chocolate Thunder and Backdoor for all the rock crawling carnage!
Hammertown USA
Tons of vendors flood Hammertown spanning from Method Race Wheels to BFGoodrich to Rugged Radios! Most vendors are selling at a discount so if you were looking for Dirtbike or SxS parts and accessories Hammertown is the place to get some of the best deals offered. There is also tons of great food vendors, from tacos to custom made pizzas Hammertown has plenty of options for whatever you're craving while exploring the vendors or on the sidelines watching the races! One great spot to watch the races is the center of Hammertown, they always have big screens showing livestreams of the race. The best by far is heading over to the Monster Energy truck and hangout on their viewing platform to watch the short course section of the races!
IMPORTANT
Hammers has been struggling to keep its doors open due to BLM. Land leases have gotten expensive and the issue with fireworks has become a real problem. Please remember if you choose to attend please remember to leave the fireworks at home and leave your camp better than you found it. It is up to the spectators to keep the Hammers running. This year marks their 20th anniversary and we're hoping for at least another 20 more to come! Remember to stay safe and if you're out riding always check for cross traffic when you come to trail intersections, you may not know who's riding where or whos prerunning courses or where racing is happening, races run multiple hours throughout each day.
